Care for your Rustic Furniture
When it comes to rustic furniture you need to put in extra care to maintain it. Else the rustic look to it would go in vain the long run. If you could maintain them well, you will have that rustic look for years to come. Unlike southwest furniture which don?t require much care, rustic furnishings needs that extra bit of care for them to last long.
Since color of that rustic feeling is changeable, it should be protected well enough from the climate changes to make it look new for years.
Mostly rustic furniture are used for making beds, dress cabinets, cabinets, tables and drawers which we need to use it on a daily basis, if adequate was not taken, these rustic furniture would lose its sheen and the purpose of owning them.
To repair the furniture you need to use damp cloth to remove the staining being formed on them. This is often found with southwest furniture. To remove the scratches you can use the milder sandpaper to clean them off the scratches. Applying some white spirit on the scratched surface and at the end waxing them will make them look new without any scratches. Since wax prevents moisture being entering the wood and hence make it look fresh and prevent them from breaking.
